We are committed to each student being given caring attention and supervised instruction. In all practical classes we guarantee the ratio of faculty to students will never exceed 1 :20 per instructor for 7 tables. If we have more than 20 students in a class, we will provide a massage therapy instructor to assist the primary instructor. For lecture, classes will have one instructor to 36 students. This is in accordance with TAC§140.347(g)(2)
Paul M. Frizzell, Ph.D., N.D., Acupuncturist, L.M.T., PSI, M.T.I., (MI01790) is Co - Director of the San Antonio Institute and a member of AMTA since 1980. He is a past president of the AMTA Texas Chapter and has served for fourteen years as the education director. He holds a PhD, BS, MA, OMD, and an N.D. (MA) with Open International University in Sri Lanka. Experienced and certified in Shiatsu, Zen bodywork {techniques of Ida Rolf, Feldenkrais, Tanouye Roshi & Dub Leigh}, Certified Core Myofascial therapist, trigger point therapy, hydrotherapy. He is a current Texas Licensed Acupuncturist. Mr. Frizzell has many other training and certifications. He is Nationally Certified in both Bodywork Massage and Sports massage, a member of the National Sports Massage Team and a Professional Structural Integrator. He teaches the history, the understanding of the many styles of massage, health & hygiene, nutrition and oriental bodywork.
Savitri Frizzell, L.M.T., NCTMB, D.Ay, M.T.I, (MI01144) graduated 1977 from New York Swedish School of Massage. She has been a certified Yoga Instructor since 1980 and holds a Diploma in Ayurvedic Medicine, from New England School of Ayurvedic Medicine. She also teaches Massage Therapy Advanced skills of Swedish Techniques professional ethics, pathology, kinesiology, and Ayurvedic understanding to the quality of longevity. She is certified by the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage & Bodywork (NCTMB). She has been a active professional member of AMTA(American Massage Therapy Association) since 1979.
Debra Lolmaugh, L.M.T., M.T.I, (MI0589) Certified Trager Practitioner. She is a 1994 graduate of Neuromuscular Concepts School of Massage, and she has been teaching since 1998. Debra specializes in Swedish massage and muscular-skeletal anatomy. She has studied anatomy with Deane Juhan, author of Job's Body, and was a teaching assistant in Japan and Hawaii. She teaches anatomy, physiology, pathology, kinesiology, and massage,
Christine Collings, L.M.T., (MT021 027) A graduate of the New Mexico School of Therapeutics in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Christine is a certified Polarity Therapy Instructor and has a degree in Communications and Marketing. She also has a Master of Arts degree in Sociology. She teaches business, massage techniques and polarity bodywork.
Rebecca Grinfield, L.M.T.,M.T.I.(1768), CAN Current ABMP member, Reiki Master and a graduate of the Neuromuscular Concepts School of Massage. Certified as an Applied Clinical Nutritionist through the Texas Chiropractic College. Teaching Massage, Pathology, Kinesiology & Hydrotherapy.
Ernest S. Estrada, C.E., (1216), A Paramedic, Instructor with the American Heart Association (TX15409) Teaches First Aid and CPR.
